From the ASIFA website:
The public knows Willams as the animation director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Animators also know him as the author of the great “how to” animation book, The Animator’s Survival Kit. In honor of his birthday and in anticipation of the release of Williams’Animation Masterclass lecture series on DVD (shot before a live audience at Blue Sky Studios).

Heh, nifty. I always imagined it playing out as an individual cycle where each frame had the character changing into the next one.
Looking forward to those DVDs.
wow, that sounds great! The book was so handy
I was going to go to annecy this year too! Damn! :(

My brother bought me the book :D
I've looked at it and it's very detailed and what I was looking for :)
Can't wait to start reading it after my exams.
Great to hear there will be DVDs of the lectures.

I met Richard Williams a couple of year ago, as he lives in the area. Got him to sign my TASK book :D
I'm off to Annecy this year too, so hopefully will get to meet up with him again. I'm looking forward to the DVDs!

I attended his week long Master Class seminar in Denmark many years ago, and have always wished his lectures would be released on DVD. Definitely a must-buy for any aspiring or seasoned animator, young and old. :)
