Agreed about that, though the sails are a little too dirty maybe. I mean, how would they get brown? There ain't mud in the air you know :)

Not to say that the dirt on the sail is strictly accurate, but you'd be amazed at how canvas or linen sails could get. They were furled with wet hemp ropes while wet themselves. Mildew and discoloration from that would turn white sails quite dirty looking in little time.

That looks great, but couldn’t you easily put some water under it, think the sails are to “windy” to be on a model.

Nice job. Did you, and do you have any references, pictures or something? I'm looking for some, just wanted to start one ship model but can't find anythng of use on the web for reference. Maybe you can help me? And maybe few advices about ship modeling, anything to take care of?
