View Full Version : Animation: Don't go away!
disrupt 05-20-2003, 03:49 PM This is obviously still a work in progress, but I wanted to get some feedback before I move on. All the curves are still set to linear. I just put in the in-betweens, moving holds, and arcs. Let me know what you think of those. I mostly want to know what you think about my choice of POSES, and TIMING. Does it read? What do you think about my camera angle? I think I need help with the staging. Please be brutal, I am really trying to improve. His facial animation and his tail will come later.

I think it's a good work, but it's seem too mechanic. All the movements stop too quickly. I think you can spend a few time after every movement to finish it.

Try to work on staggering the movement more so that all of the parts don't stop on the same frames and watch out for twinning (poses that are symmetrical tend to look less dynamic and natural)

The timing seems pretty good, and the voice acting is a good lead for the character. Great clip choice. What would you say about having the chracter stand on the chair instead of getting down from it? When he gets down, because of his height, he seems to loose emotional tension instead of gain it as in the voice. If he stood on the chair he could really lean toward the screen edge and brace himself on the table...almost crawl over it. Then when he returns to his seat, he could settle in a instead of having to crawl up, like he wasted all his energy yelling for The Dude.

Hey I really like the idea of him getting on the chair. You are right about the energy buildup and release. This will help me alot! Thanks.
