View Full Version : maya 5 scripts not loading

i just installed maya 5 here at work and none of the scripts i load work. i tried installing facepathsplit from aliaswavefront and while this works at home, the setup makes the shelf icons but when i go to run the script it says unterminated string. whats wrong here? and that new aniMan script also doesnt load.

Try to load it in Lightwave ;)

sorry i dont knkow whats going on , you are using the bonus tools for maya 5 right? im not sure but ithink that i were you get face path split. sorry i dont know.

works at home, but not here.

i had 4.5 at home, upgraded to 5 and my scripts carried over, here its a fresh install of 5 and it wont work

It's because Alias Wavefront made some changes to their MEL standards between 4.5 and 5.0.

I had to rewrite alot of my code because of this "Unterminated string" error. It sucks...but is easily fixable.
