Hey!
I used to code maxscript, and I remember once reading an example where the length of bones(joints) was changed within a limit you could change via an added attribute, essentially making the legs(or arms, whatever) rubbery, or cartoonish. I'm just starting out with MEL, and I'm sitting on a school project that would really REALLY benefit from this bit of code being MEL-ified. Anybody have the coding scizzle to do this? Any help appreciated, otherwise I'm stuck just making clusters and ditching the bones for some scenes(DREAD!).

if you go to this link http://www.community3d.com/daily_projects/scripts/stretchyLimbs.zip you'll be downloading a tool that Alec has scripted up to create stretchy limbs. I've tried it, it works great. He knows his crap too, he just got a job at Dreamworks Animation, so he's gotta be some kinda pro. :airguitar

oh, and you'll have to go to http://www.ewertb.com/maya/mel/mel_a39.html and get the roundoff script (the one written by Duncan Brinsmead). With that in your scripts folder, and then running the stretchy Limbs script, you'll be up and running.
