How does maya handle unit conversions when using dynamics? When using some
particles for a splash today, I had wind up the gravity so high just to
counter the force coming from the radial force which was also wound up to get an effect. When tested in a new scene
in centermeters the default settings worked fine. Thanks heaps if you answer.

Maya internal units is centimetres, so maya converts everything (except matrices) to centimetres before doing any calculations then converts back again. Therefore it's usually best to work in centimetres and at sensible scales.

So if working with meters for modelling the model should then be imported into a new scene using centermeters for animation??

Would this combat the problem??
