Quick question, how do you join different curves and arcs in maya so I can revolve it without it making a bunch of weird lines on me?
Thanks.

hey, ive been having this problem too... with limited success
There seems to be a number of possible solutions, but they often dont work for me.
Maybe someone can tell us what the correct way to do it, but i'll tell you the things ive been trying so far and sometimes work:

- attach curves (open up the option box and try various settings until something works)
if that doesnt work, try stitch edges/points (under edit nurbs menu)

i assume you are using several curves you want to attach together?
make sure the cvs line up (or snap them to each others curves), and try to stitch or attach curves...

hope you can get some solution, good luck! :D

Im not exactly sure what the problem is, but if the resulting surbs surface is really messy, you could try rebuilding the initial curve you used.

hmm, does anyone know of any good info around that explains the process (and settings) for rebuilding curves and surfaces?
i find it extremely difficult to get a desirable result using them. And the maya help is not very helpful for this area

I should open the otion box for ATTACH CURVES and than choose for CONNECT and KEEP MULTIPLE KNOTS. This way you are sure that the curves remain their origional shapes (if placed correctly before attaching).

After that, select the curves and Delete History on Them.
