Its been down for a few days, it was up with another forum skin but that has been removed. Hopefully remodel will come with some explicit forums rules for posting as well as rules on conduct.

Yes I believe that the site should have an overhaul. A few artist there are way beyond their heads. It makes posting a new image quite a burden. Somehows it borders to being not fun anymore.

I do hope that a few of those guys would just lighten up... good thing is that I don't see them here in this forum. :D

RiKToR + space-sprayer - Hope that the new forum will be really nice and + some kind of special gallery or awards will be also good to see there.. + keep also older things.

Yea it seems the site is in maintenance now, so maybe it is getting an overhaul. Hopefully any changes will be for the better, mp.org is still my first port of call when i go to check the forums. Yea i guess some stricter posting rules would be good...

Does anyone actually know who owns that forum? Its really easy to see who owns cgsociety and conceptart.org etc, but ive got no idea who actually owns / runs mattepainting.org

It is a good question, there was no contact on forum. But a couple day before the down I saw the admin in a thread. Well, his/her nick starts with 'm' caracter.

Oh bugger, been a way for a while due to new job, just tried to login to MPorg and it looks a little weird. I hope my posts are still there as I want to link to them from my new blog.

The forum admin goes under the hanle of Maryam. As for who or where they are I have no idea.

degerardo: I'm not referring to me. I'm actually referring to the constant arguement and extreme critical comments that no longer classify as helpful or constructive. A few things that might or should be eliminated. If you take a closer look at the threads here and there, you might see a few things that somehow are not the same when it comes to constructive.

Anyway, I have nothing against that site, I feel It's just not healthy for newbies and a certain few who are looking for comments that might be helpful. All in all I still like the site, I'm not just as happy as I am here.
