(http://assets.cgsociety.org/nvart/120889_1211993939/1024bound)zbrush & photoshop, started in zbrush with the extract polygon tool which produced that tube like red thing in birds beak also the majority of the centipede's body , then it was off to photoshop for the 2d feathers splashes and so on , this image was very fun for me because the outcome was surprising , it was so abstract at first i did not know what i was doing.

thanks for the comments ...i am sorry for all the repeated posts...i honestly thought the images where not posting.....i posted it three times the last time i changed the title just hoping that might be the cure for the blank post problem ......but for the judges the image name is actually the cock and the centipede ....not age old rivalry

i mage description .....i left that out because of the posting problem... the image started out in zbrush using the extract mesh ...i just painted on a cylinder and extracted the polygons ....i took in from there to photoshop by then i still looked like a mass of nonsense ...but as i looked more at it sorta look like a bird so i did the feathers as vector shapes then i worked on the centipede after i saw how the bird came out.

Awesome composition work, Lynch! This is probably my favorite entry so far according to the actual blend of 2d and 3d. You really have to stare at the image for awhile to see where one artform ends and another begins. Good luck with the challenge! :D
