Do you have a Print-Screen key on your keyboard? It copies the screen to your clipboard, then you can paste into your favorite image editor.

That's windoes junk though, so I'm not sure about other OS's.

osx is apple/shift/3 keys. it makes a nice camera sound when it works... it saves a image called picture1..2...3 and so on as you take them. images, i think, wind up in your document folder under your user name.

OS9 i think is same. images appear on harddrive

Alt-PrintScr will take a picture of just the current window and not the whole desktop.
