Hey guy/girls, I hope you can help me as I'm pulling my hair out!
Something is going wrong with my texture before I've even used it. I'm using the same method as all my other textures that have worked fine, Save UV snapshot, take it to photoshop to work on it, then save as jpeg (with no compression etc..).
Problem is, my texture now looks like this in the hypergraph (*see attached). If I go into textured view in the viewport, I can see the texture fine if it's applied to a lambert etc.. But if I plug it into a switch, it just won't work!
I've taken the same jpeg over to my linux box in maya 8.5 (the machine it won't work on is a Mac Maya 2008) and it works fine, well, it doesn't show up like this in the hypergraph anyway, I haven't tried plugging it into a switch yet...
Has anyone come accross this before? And what should I do about it?
Thanks for any help!
Christian
P.s. I've tried flattening the image in photoshop, removing alphas, saving as tiffs and tga's etc.. Still the same icon in the hypershade...
