Very cool color scheme; love the glow look. It's very pleasing to look at. I was wondering if you had a high res version. Also, can you show/tell what are the 3D elements and what are the 2D elements. I like this piece a lot. Well done.

I've always liked creating pieces that have a sort of environment or have some kind of identifiable spatial awareness that makes "sense" to the normal person viewing it. lol. It is not abstract but rather have a feel of structure and purpose in mind.

As all art, to me there are tons of ways to make the final piece or output. In this case I used Maya / Photoshop and Illustrator. I treated my 3d objects as design elements and composited them using photoshop and illustrator. I guess I approached a solution much like an illustrator or painter would. The "Protal" (Left side) as well as the structures to the right are all done in Maya and the 2d elements would be everything else. Basically the 3d I rendered with Alpha channels using mental ray in high res. Then composition and all the backgrounds etc. I painted in and made them to compliment the 3d elements so they all meld together. Hope that helps.
