Well, I would try and find some photographs to use as references to build my textures from. Or depending on how skilled you are with messing around with UV points and Photoshop editing, you could use the reference photographs as textures.

As for the windows, I would say to edit the surface (Lightwave) or shader (Maya) properties to turn up the specularity to reflect the light.

Not sure about the hood, other then trying to add a specular map. Though maybe some of the more experienced modelers could help you out, as I'm kind of figuring that stuff out myself.

Btw, what program are you using? The car looks great. Keep up the good work and you'll come away with what you want.

Hey that's cool. I'm making the same thing. It's my first major modelling project so since you're done the car you know what problems arise when modelling it. Any C&C on mine would be great. What program did you use to make your car? XSI?

For the windows you're gonna want to turn up the reflections and I'm assuming you didn't model the inside so obviously keep them opaque.

Also, it seems you have a bit of DOF going on there. Unless you're making a Hot Wheels McLaren, you'll want to turn that off to make the car look normal sized.

Nice work though, how long did it take you?
