Hi guys,
I'm in the middle of a skinning crazy phase :) I have several characters to rig and skin; some of those have a consinstent poly count..I was wondering if exist a plugin/script for maya 8.5/2008 to speed up the skinning phase. I mean, actually I'm creating a really fast rig and skin, just to allow the animator to create character pose, it could be awesome to have something like weight transfer or similar to skin a really low poly (with different vertex number and index) object and transfer the weight to our target character, or transfer the weight from mesh character A to mesh character B (with similar topology but not the same).

If someone have any suggestion and raccomandation will help me to save some time :)

Did you tried "Copy Skin Weights" tool ?

Thanks for the suggestion, I have just tried that way.. I'm asking because maybe someone knows something more accurate that give me a better result.
