You keep your dirty paws off of Ana, Proton! She's mine! :D I really appreciate you and Ben letting me tag a long even though I'm a max user... Although the feedback was more like trying to hold my own against you peoples sarcastic remarks about me using max... Seriously though, I'm glad I got to tag along and see with my own two eyes that Newtek employees AREN'T the spawn of Natas ;)

Thanks for a great time gals and guys. See you at Siggraph! :bounce:

It was great spending time with your family watching "Black Books" and "Spaced" episodes… I was instantly hooked… look… I’m a robot prostitute from the future!

ROFLMAO :applause:
That's one of the best episodes of Black Books EVER :D

It was cool to meet Ben and Proton after the awards, it was something like 11.30pm and we were all knackered or pissed (thats drunk to you americans, not angry).

Overall the event was great, although we were too late for the user meeting. Next time tho!

Cheers guys!

William and I had such great fun at the event and I hope it shows in our journal. It's always good to put faces to names and now I know who UrGaffel is, I shall always hassle him for being a max user... :)

So Leigh: you guys got Black Books in SA?! That's fantastic! The series didn't get many viewers in the UK but it got a second series because it won an award (I think it was the Golden Rose at Montreaux). You're just lucky we didn't do the lead-up to Manny saying that phrase - we had thought about it... :) Did you get Spaced as well?

Sinbad: What's your real name then? Are you Paul or Andy? and don't you mean knackered *and* pissed? :)

Policarpo: You should have been there! No sleep for the week, too much to drink and not enough food - stream of consciousness? You betcha, you're lucky it was as coherent as it is!

Lastly, I'd like to correct some glaring ommissions in the article and thank Edith here for all her extremely hard work organising the whole thing and Marc for his excellent Video Toaster 3 presentation at the user meeting. There were enough LightWave users at the meeting that gasped at what you could do with it...

Spaced is cool :buttrock: I'm definitely going to organise my holidays better next year and get to that festival, if it's the last thing i do :D:D

You should Phil! It's a great event. I only started showing William Spaced and Black Books because he wasn't familiar with more modern British comedy - I think he's now on the lookout for both series. BTW. If anyone wants Black Books, I can recommend getting both series from http://www.ezydvd.com.au/ since the Oz ones are region-free and have loads of extras including commentaries.

black books is great!
My favourite episode was when they accidentally drank the really expensive wine and were trying to concoct a new brew in the theme of Frankenstein's monster :applause:

That was a great article you guys wrote, sounds like a blast!

I get my DVDs from Ezy DVD as well Ben, except your Euros probably go further than my Dollars ;)

That's where the "robot prostitute from the future" quote comes from. I think it was the very first episode I showed him! :)

Unfortunately I have never seen Spaced... perhaps I'd better look out for it :)

Black Books rules though - they have showed both series of it here on local telly. Between my housemate and I, we have all the episodes - the first season on DVD, and the second on VHS. I watch them over and over again regularly :D
