View Full Version : Which Lightwave7?
Hi,
Well there are five of them now, so it would be nice to find out which one people would use. I'm still using 7.5 at this point, coupled with plug-ins like G2 and ACS4, so 7.5c may not bring much to the table for me. I still wonder is it's more stable. So make your calls which one would you go for?

Still or again 7.5, the day before c was released I came back to the good old 7.5 !!!
But I already downloaded the 7.7c* update, so 7.5 is almost history !!!
*Oh wait it was 7.5c, was it ????
Hey, maybe Newtek will consider dropping the letters thing.
wouldn't it be better to be:
7.0
7.0.1
7.5
7.5.1
7.5.2
Somehow it reads more "professional" with a digit instead of a letter.
BTW, I voted 7.5c

its really very easy to maintain multiple versions on one machine. Never overwrite your old with a new, just copy the directory, edit your shortcuts for the .exe's and configs and upgrade that one.

I'm still getting trouble with 7.5c's Screamer, so I am one of those freaks still using 7.5b :hmm:

7.5, waiting for the end of my prod before swaping...
Btw, anyone noticed slowdown (as with 7.5b) while rendering transparent polys ?

It would be nice if LW came with Keytrack, since there's no Mac version AND LW should have this in the first place.
In the middle of a lot of work, so no switching to C anytime soon.

i do use LWSN Controller from dstorm though...works like a charm for when i need to queue up my junk and not sit at my desk all the live long day. :)

I made a try with it, worked once and then only rendered in .flx format.
Dunno why....

I think screamernet defaults to using .flx format when it can't find your shared configs.
