One of my first really completed projects :scream:

I have a bit experience at modelling, but
this was my first attempt at texturing something!

Donīt be to hard:shame:

44000 polys
modelled and rendered with Cinema 4d 8
GI was used

Not bad, especially for your first attempt at texturing. Think we could get some different angles of the mech? Might be a pain in the a** though since its 44000 polys. :p

Nah, people usually don't comment not because the work is bad, but rather because they have nothing much to point out :)

Either having no much knowledge (or sense) on mech stuffs, just like me :p or having no more than to say 'GRRREAT' :D

looks good!

only thing i would suggest is mixing up the wires, so they arent identical on the other side.

the only major thing i can see is working on the reflective materials a bit... the cockpit esp. as you cant see inside at all, and it appears more that the windows of the cockpit are made of chrome rather than glass

OKAY after seeing that you cried that you had 160 views and no replies, HERE ya go. As for the model as mech is a mech is a mech. You see one you've seen em all. I am inpressed at the level of detail that you have used, at 44000 polys no wonder. Texturing looks okay to me so far. Keep adding you textures.....
Now animate it taking acouple steeps and tell use how long it took to render... Superb Model

It's a good start man especialy if it's your first texturing attempt. One thing you might want to do is lower the noise level a bit and maybe change the shade of grey used on the mech so it doesen't blend in with the walls so much. Other than that it looks good.  :airguitar

The model looks pretty good, but since you rendered it so close, I'm wondering if maybe you should have put more details on some of the stuffs.

For examples, the gun barrels on the shoulder. They look like simple cyclinders to me. I would assume, a more realistic gun barrel would have more details. Maybe holes for air cooling. And support for gun stabalization...dunno. Samething with the missile tubes, they look too simple to be real.

The torso can also make more realistic, if you put some plating on them. They are so smooth and flat, it doesn't look very detailed, even though I like the overall texture.

The cockpit definately looks bad though. If you gonna make it so reflective, at least put something for it to reflect. It would look way better if its actually reflecting something...

I really like the legs and the round thing that connects the legs to the torso. The arms look not bad, but it needs more panels and plating. Just don't overdo the panels and plating, otherwise it would be too hard to distinguish the overall shape.

I'd have to agree about the simplicity of some of the guns. My suggestion would be to add a whole bunch af labels and warnings and arrows and other miscellanious things like that on all sections. I think that would look kool.
