Hi,
I have just got Radeon 9700  When I turn on dual monitor option, then max cannot initialize directX drivers when starts. It works fine with openGL drivers, but when I try to use directX it says:
"Unable to create or initalize hardware accelerated Direct 3D device. Atempting to use the Direct 3D Software reference Resarizer insalled as a part of DirectX SDK."
When I click "OK", then...
"Unable to create accelerated Direct 3D device with the necessary requirements. Using the Direct 3D Software Reference Rasterizer."
Second question. When I use directX9, then everytime max starts, directx dialog for choosing between 9 and 8.1 drivers appears. What to do to make this dialog not appear? It pisses off click OK everytime :annoyed:
I want to use directX because viewports are then much faster. I experimented with about 6 millions polys and with d3d it works much faster than with openGL.
Thanks!
