Why are you remaking a model? Did you need a higher res version?
The form is tight, you have captured the shape. Your textures look very nice. I think they could do with some more specularity to show the material. Especially if you do not want to ruin the clean look of yout texture. Personally I want to see it dirty, show some wear on it.

:wavey: hey dude... u from MMFT by any chance? unusual looking mecha there... but way cool!! look like a samurai... i can't think of any suggestion on the model, but i agree with krets, u might wanna make it a bit dirty... give it some battle scar... keep it up...

Ah, sorry about the geocities hosting, the image should be back couple hours later. Thanks for suggestions, I will continue work on this one and put some battle damages and dirty stuff like you guys suggested. The robot is a game player character from Garagegames.com project Event Alpha. The team wanted something high-res for poster.
P_T, I used to post in MMFT, very fun place for mecha stuff.
Hellwolve- That's a interesting touch there, make it look more like a samurai I think.
Thanks for comments. :)

Hi there, I'm doing fine. Actually I finished the model and working on a new one now. Btw, any chance you were one of the webmaster of the old Mechnex.net site? Ah just wondering, your site reminds me of them that's all.
Here is the finished version of the alien mecha.

It fun to guess what package forgive me....its late where I am.
Lightwave? Not as fuzzy as LW is usually though. Hmmmmm Soft?
BTW nice work.
Comment: I really like the upper half. Render is very clean in contrast with a scratchy texture...GReat move there. Contract is good. Add more color possibly?
Crit: The lower legs are ....small and without a cool boot could use some detail. The boots could change it all. Right now they seem unfitting the upper half of the design. The smaller legs would fit well with bulky boots..
Hope that helps

ME3D- Actually 3d studio max, I never used lightwave before. Thanks, I will keep those things in mind. :)
Hellwolve- Nothing wrong with your suggestion, I might do a customize one when I get a chance.
