roughly 8 hours with a wacom tablet in pretty high resolution. I had a photo by the side for reference on face proportions etc.

The potrait is vivid,i like it.But i think it need more delicate description.

delicate description = finer details and more smooth ? I want to become better as a painter so i really would like to get as much info as possible on how to improve .

I think its a great likeness of him ! The only thing that bothers me is, it looks like an odd growth on the right side of his jaw/neck. Clean that up and restore his jawline and define his hair back there. The rest of it is very good and painterly. In fact , i'd like to see more like this from you. I thought this was Painter X work. I was surprised to see you used Photoshop. Nice color work, very good likeness. rick

thanks for crits ! next time I will do more sketches of the guy I am going to paint from several different directions and maybe give painter a try :)

You did really good with this, I like the style and the fact you didn't go nuts on it in terms of details and polish. Keep it up!
