View Full Version : Texturing woe
jademcquade 05-22-2008, 05:49 PM Hi guys.
Knew to Modo, only started using it this week. I have added an image map with displacement effect to a tube shaped object. In the render there is a visible seam which makes it look as thought the underlying geometry is split, but it is not. I want this texture to appear seamless.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?

HI.
This is the image map I used. I used a cylindrical projection. I also have a UV map assigned for the leg.

Hey man, the texture is not seamless. I just checked it in PS.
Good Luck with it!

P.S. You will have to try and hide the UV seam if you want to use that texture.

Thanks guys as I said I am very inexperienced in UV and texturing but I now know what to do. I created my own 512x512 image in Photoshop which doesn't give a seam when applied to my model.
Thanks for the help.
