View Full Version : Rendering issue
RuadhriBrennan 05-21-2008, 11:38 AM Hi, I've got a problem whenever I try to render something in CS3. I've looked around in help topics for a sollution but I'm so new to the program that I dont even know what to look for. The problem is that the rendered file will play a few seconds and then pause briefly, play again and pause briefly, and so on for the duration of the clip. The footage was filmed in HD if that has ahelp.... I hope someone out there can help me, so I can get on to my next question!

Hi, are u exporting to Quick time?
Might be that you have a old version of Quicktime, your comuter is to slow, you are playing it from a network, low on memory, and alot more reasons.
Try a diffrent codec. What codec are u using?

So are you saying that your rendered videos have staggering jolts while playing in your video player?
I had this problem as well, it lead to having the file way too large for the media players. Specifically speaking of avi files...windows media player chokes on anything over a gig.
For Quick Time, that player acts funny to me when I play large files as well. Enable "play all frames" in QT if you are using this media player and wait a few rounds until all media is fully buffed.
Try rendering another version with low res settings...see if it plays well. Sometimes I have to use compressed settings just to see everything without losing frame rate.
You mentioned HD...what codec are you using to pipeline HD data into computer? Plus are you using PC or Mac?
Get back to us because I am really interested on hearing what you use to extract your HD data into your computer. I had a hard time too with windows accepting HD footage on certain cameras which required me to run specific codec(s).
Also, while I am thinking about it...Windows XP is crap for accepting HD footage...I had better luck using Vista with a codec. Dont know why XP has a crappy time accepting raw footage. They think of anything to make you upgrade.
Hope this helps.
