I worked really hard on this one and i think it got away from me. Im new at this and i'm opened to learning!! I used Photoshop Cs3 and a pic of a small valley, i started with the idea of the castle in the center but i'm playing with some more ideas... better silliouttes.! any ideas?... i posted both the version- with and withour the castle... too much... crit is welcomed thanks!

hi, and welcome to this fourms, I think your image needs some improvement, painitng extreme weather conditions on a photo is really hard, I know about it, but I guess the satisfaction of doing this is really nice, in this case I think it does not look natural, it looks too painted, it needs density and uniformity in shape, I see a lot of detail in the fog that is too much for it , I would first try to get some reference , lighting is confusing because I cannot tell where the key light is coming from either

thanks James- i thnink your right. My lighting issue reads poorly because of the over abundace of mist textures- it needs to be more translucent- liquid. I pulled up an earlier save and liked it better, gotta learn when to quit. I have also thumbed a better silloutte insted of the castle. Your refferences are very helpfill. I notice little things and details that got away from me.
