Great images all 3 of em. i really like the parathug, his general form is very good. The images are a bit too abstract or chaotic for my taste, but I can respect this style.
Is the last one 3d or 2d? Suddenly a very different type of image.

They're all digital photos. The first two are small watercolor paintings by my brother Ville, also known as Vorm. The third one is a photo of him. He sent these pics to me from Japan, hence the title :D
his photo inspires a speedpaint! i just got painter 7 so i'm looking for interesting subjects/refs everywhere. i like the second watercolor, thulsa doom.

Thanx everyone!
Earl: That's a very funny idea ;)
Charlie: Yeah, he's in Japan right now. But not working he's only 18 so he's still in school. I'm a bit busy with school now, but I'm gonna post something new soon.
Nummos: ..if the movie-makers are listening, here's the truth :D
Linda: Cg? It's a plain photo ;)
More C&C!

Morbidly skinny wanna-be vampyr know as Vormm greets thee.
I have some handicap called "stingy host family" wich prevents me from posting these pics myself. But I have my dear economical-version-of-me-brother (Mikko K) to do all the crappy tasks for me.
I have some intresting showpieces up my sleeve waiting to get divulged...

earl: I ain`t THAT ugly. But nevertheless I`m flattered. Those paintings are little smaller than A4 and took about one hour.
Alteredstate: they`re only abstract and chaotic due my degenerated information flow from brain to hand. But let`s pretend it`s only more artistic approach, eh?;)

Your style of your first 2 works closely resembles some of the work done for the MGS 1 & 2 artbooks, I'd highly recommend them if you are interested in pursuing the loose waterbrush style. You've totally nailed it.

mattregnier: You caught me. I was tempted to pursue the style of MGs mainly because I am still just practicing. Those were my fifth and sixth watercolour paintings ever.
I am very flattered by your compliment.

artzy: Thanks a lot! I'm not really developing my site at the moment, since I have many other things going on now. But I hope to get something across during the summer. Maybe a collaborative site with Vormm would be something to consider.
The latest stuff by Vormm:
Key Player (A4 watercolor / 45min)

Split Second (A4 watercolor / 45min)

I did small color adjustments (some blue or red) and sharpening to these photos.

Sweet water colour. MGS artwork is definitely not a bad thing to be inspired by.

The second one is fc'n great! There's a lot of movement in it and the eyes top the cake.
The first one doesn't have the same magic as the second, it took me a while to figure out whats happening with the torso... It ain't bad either though.

These are so good, and not just because I've always been a little partial to water colours :p
They definitely remind me of the artist who does the official Metal Gear Solid art - I think his name is Yoji Shinkawa...or am I nuts?
Anways, awesome stuff

Dknight: good one
:D
I am far better doing scetches with pencil than with watercolours.
But unfortunately most of people doesn`t find scetches with only pencil very interesting. :annoyed:
