View Full Version : Missing shaders
When I export objects and open the file, some of the objects get transparent and missing shaders although I can see the shaders assigned to the objects in Hypershade and Attribut Editor.
In Hypershade I can see those input and output lines that connect each object and shader, but objects are transparent in viewports.
I would like to know why and how it happens internally in Maya and how I can fix the problems.
Thank you

Looks like your missing the textures files... Make sure you have your textures on the same place inside the projects folder...
When starting a new scene is nice to make a new project, and choose the default settings for it. This way all the files you will use for the scene will be in their correct folders...!
Check the files associations for the objects that arew missing them... Reload the images and see if it`s pointing for the correct location!
Hope some of that works for you!
Thank you very much. Those objects have no file textures assigned and wondering if shaders assigned on component leves(faces) creates problems when exported...

Well most 3D formats you export it to should have the texture mapping info intact. Reassigning the shaders should fix it.

if your uvs were somehow deleted, im pretty sure your object will appear transparent, reguardless of the shader, although i could be wrong,
