I've been using Maya for awhile back now and recently the camera started to behave kinda... well.. wierd.

It doesn't rotate around the selected abject but around a random nearby place (or so it seems).

Anyway know the solution to my small problem (it kinda gets irritating as you all prolly know when the camera doesn't fix on on your object).

*edit* Another really basic question, how do I mirror polygon surface so it becames an instant mirror (When I change one side the other one will copy) *edit*

Thanks :wavey:

For aiming your camera at a object select it and hit f. Your viewport will center on it and rotate around it.

And for the mirror just duplicate your object with instance checked, not copy and then scale it by -1 in the mirror direction.

You'll probably also then want to Freeze Transform on it
