I searched for some help on this but couldn't find anything, so i hope you guys can help me on this.

When I have some 3d layers an i put a 2d layer (for example an adjustment layer) between the 3d layers, the layers above the 2d one becomes separeted from the layers below the 2d layer. Its like if the 2d layer separeted all 3d layers into two comps. This only happens when the visibility of the 2d layer is on. I dont know if i have been clear enough, but this is exactly what happens.

This can be useful sometimes but for most of the time its just annoying.
Maybe this is just the way AE works, but i wonder if there is a way to overcome this?

no.

depending on your comp there will be a workaround for that. but you can't change this behaviour of AE.

good luck,

Thanks for your reply and the bad news!:)
I feared this would be the answer. i'll just keep trying to find workarounds in every project...
