looks lke a great start....is there a concept sketch we can see?
05-19-2003, 10:08 PM
The concept is from an old minatures game called Kryomek.
The units are called Talos, and they have a couple of configs.
Heres a pic.

Yeah, I really like the design. I never did pick up a minature version of them though. (If only I could design/sketch things like that)

Small update to legs and pelvis.
(Also trying to setup a web page and link the images for better quality......hope it works)

Can't wait to see him filled with consistant mech parts or biomecha things :)
I might ad some curvature to the vertebral parts (bottom back), if it was me.

Wow that is looking great. I wish my kyromek book wasn't in storage. Looking good though.
Once you got him rigged you have to pose him in that crouch they are always drawn in.
Do you use those blue guides when modeling? I usually turn them off as I didn't find a use for them?
02-01-2004, 11:14 PM
Cool - keep it coming - cant wait to see the finished work...
02-02-2004, 03:37 AM
Thanks Claymation and Turbotoys.
Im not very confident about rigging (ie. Ive never actually rigged anything) and Im not sure that i'll be able to. I do want to pose and texture it though...........
In regard to the guides, I dont use them really, I just havent turned them off.
