Title: Angel
Name: Tomasz Jedruszek
Country: Poland
Software: Photoshop

As i promissed , here is closer (means more detailed) concept for that archangel from my last artwork "One failed Uplift" . You already knows the reference for thsi concept was a swan ... if you think that stupid idea ,maybe taht will help you: angel -> wings->swan wings-> swan simple and logic isn't it, however I must admit the final concept has nothing to do with cute little birdy and it looks even more twisted here then on previos illustrations. Still -I hope You like it

Yeah, it's a realy twisted idea of a swan's tranformation! But i like it! This facemask like solution of the arcangel's face gives some extra enigmatic atmosphere to the whole concept before. However the lil' birdy hasn't got a so called cute smile with that denture. It's rather assailent. And this make me thinking... As you said before, there is a lot of interpretation for your last work, but there the arcangel hasn't seemed to be such a 'bad guy'. Even with that big steel in it's hand. It carries some menace of course, but it more like some kind of cold blooded mentor or creator...
What i also like here is the lightning! This sharp morning light and the character's pose emphasize this mysterious feeling. Nice scratchy brushes!
Keep it up!

Interesting argument but I could find conetion even there. So what we have in "One failed Uplift" is a very ilusionary vision of the "god" ,little frigthen creatures and His godness in all his mighty and glance. But then ,once the creatures are converted ,the "god" shows his real Alien face ! Remember that Satan was an angel too.

This is amazing, the background, the texture, the alien.
I really find it inspiring man!! The way you work with the light is just awesome!
Maybe thereīs something that doesnīt convince me totally and is the texture in the alienīs chest, maybe you could have detailed it a bit better.
But apart from that is a great piece.. Congratz

Well. What I'd tried to hint at however the One Failed Uplift (i'll refer it as OFU, if you don'T mind...:D) has some enigmatic atmosphere and the arcangel glowing dark dignity, the whole picture rather has some kind of neutrality. Although the gigantic mechanism in the background with its dark triangle surrounded with electrum forshadow this manifestation of alien behavior...
The bottom line is, I loved all those uncanny peculiarity in OFU. It contains so much feeling and open questions (and interpretation as well) what makes it entertaining to watch. Actually with this Angel post you've answered one of them, a capital one!
Futhermore i have to mention the two type-o Satan's figure. The accuser satan (so then it's an arcangel indeed) but there is another theory that Satan is a joint-ruler of God, and has his or her own angels to command... but as im writing this i realize there is no point to explicate this...
As you've created this detailed angel you answered one question of your work, but you've also detailed this whole theory of creation of your own universe. And it can come through!
I just hope there will be more from this 'sequence' some day.

Hi!
Amazing, texturing (do you have a tutorial of the elephant skin?), dynamic. Bizar that just a bunch of lines makes it look so realistic. *applause specially for you*
There is already a lot of depth in the picture. But it stays with 2 elements: character in the front, and background on the back. Maybe it's just me, but I think it would give even more depth if you fuse those 2 more. Maybe add some texture from the air (dust? sweat?I mean those sparkles, points... arg... don't know the word) on the right arm. That one is further away, and the arm will look more finished.

Pfieww. I hope I said it well. Sorry that I need to use alot of words just to say one thing :s
