This is my idea of how i wanna design a eggclock if i ever had the chance to do it :) i enjoyed modeling this even though it looks simple in both it's modeling and it's rendering and yes it is quite simple but even simple things can be pretty to look at.

I modeled this in a betaversion of Moi3D last year and now found the model again in my archive, then i thought i'd try bringing it back to life agian with the help of Maxwell, some nice lighting and simple yet effective materials. This took 5 hours to render at 3200x2400 pixels on my rig.

Thats a nice warm image. 5 hours in maxwell is a very quick time for an image that large. Very clear, with little noise. What kind of rig do you have?

firewire: Thank you :) yes i wanted to have this nice warm colorscheme for this model, it felt better instead of going for a more colder blueish tone. Yep Maxwell rendered this very fast on my rig, i was a bit surprised myself but i ain't complaining about the speed and quality hehe, i have a homebuilt quadcore q6600 2,4ghz with 8gb ram running XP64 SP2. It runs like a dream, fast and rocksolid stable machine.
