Title: Kiss - Woolite Threads Ad. © Simon Danaher 2008

Hi - This is a recent job I did for a US agency for this year's round of advertising awards submissions. Product is Woolite and concept strap is 'Because colours should never be parted'. I had no idea how to create the wool threads when I started but a combination of geometry and fur seemed to do the trick. Splines were projected onto geometry then used as sweep paths.

I like this a lot.-Nice concept, well executed. It's nice to see something here that isn't another axe wielding orc ;)
Very nice! Ditto everything that leemale said. Kudos for coming up with the solution; I would have found that a tough one.

Thanks very much for the kind comments. It was surprising tough to do (I know it problably doesn't look it) but it helped working with an ad agencey who were willing to take my ideas and advice on board when it came to the aesthetics (Euro RSCG New York).
There are two more images in this campaign that you can see on my Portfolio (Legs, and Hands)

Obviusly it reminds Kiss form Rondin...it´s great - the colors are kind clichè but still very nice!

Thanks again for the comments guys.
I didn't think about the Rodin, there's a full size bronze of it in the local Museum. I've seen it loads of times, it must have made an impression on me (though I think it's a bit sentimental).
The colours are cliché indeed. It wouldn't really make much sense given the context for them to be any other colours, and they HAVE to be different colours because of the nature of the product. That's advertising!
