Hi.
I got this animated character with hair, all looks fine in the viewport as I play the animation, but in the render output some hairs go wonky at one point, as if on purpose. Took me a long time to figure out how to get the character placed in a different location in the 3d scene withoug going the hair all over the place. Just when I thought I finished finding out everything there is to Hair module in C4D, here's this, as if cinema is teasing me on purpose. Anybody got a clue? Is there something I missed?
I am sure this issue must have been addressed in another post earlier, unfortunately I couldn't find any such post. If anyone knows of a post that does, could you please paste the link.
Thanks :)

It looks like it's trying to solve for hair with too many segments for the default settings for dynamics in the HAIR object. Increase the steps/iterations under the dynamics/advanced tab a little, or use the custom segments length in there with fewer segments for actual dynamics calculation and the problem should be resolved.

Thanks Per-Anders,
my steps/iterations settings were 6/12, segments for hair=24 and guides=12.
i'ved upped steps/iterations to 8/18 (no custom for now.)
Sent for render.. Let's see.
Thanks again.

Hmm, that should be plenty for that then. Unfortunately the image is very small so it's a bit hard to see what's going on, if you can post part of the animation with the effect showing it might help.
