CGTalk - Snap to Curve won't work

Hi all:
For some reason, curve snapping is not working in my setup.
Both grid and vertex snap work, and when I press the "c" key, the "snap to curve" button becomes pressed, but no snapping...
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi,

I've found that you need to move the object you are snapping closer to the curve you are snapping it to... almost right on it

This works:
Select object(s), position the cursor over the curve, press "c", MMB click and drag over curve. Thanks to Jooja at High End 3D.
