benytone 05-15-2008, 06:18 PM I tried to use FBX to export from Cinema 4d into Houdini, but it looks so weird! does anyone has the same problem?!

Unfortunately unless I get on the Mac beta for Houdini, can't help too much on that end but I can tell you we have had mucho problems with FBX export to the Unity game engine. Similar problems especially with joints, the general fixes appear to be using Bones instead with all the problems that brings you. At this time it seems the FBX export for C4D is still broken and needs a proper update - I have similar problems exporting constraints to Maya, our exporter is missing much functionality that other platforms have :(

it looks like you're trying to export a whole animation rig... i'm not sure but i think this is never gonna work with any intermediate format, including fbx.

just latest release has problem with fbx-import, but It works well with older release

For stuff that's very Houdini-specific, it's best to post over at the www.sidefx.com forums if you haven't already.
