Hi folks,

Today I have worked on a project I had begun
some months ago. It is a selfportrait. The basic
shape is ready and I have setup the light and
camera.

Great model Bob, really nice soft form. I noticed a couple of things though:-
Ears? and the upper eye lid just needs a slight tweaking on the side nearest the nose.
Do you plan to animate it or pose it in any way, have you experimented with derfomers on the face, like bones or the spline deformer, I would be interested to see the results.

Thanks Peter.

I see as I have look closer to my model what you
mean with the upper lid. It must be a bit thicker.
I will tweak that. Ears are coming later. The model
is not finished yet, but I will work on it from time
to time because I work on a another greater project
at the moment. Look out for the "WIP:wizard" thread.

I have no plans for animating this model presently,
but maybe its a good chance to learn more about
character animation - I will think about it.

Hi folks,

I have updated my portrait. The model have got
now ears and I tweaked the whole head to make
it more look like me. The eye-color is now right
and there are some basic glasses for I wear glasses.

are your ears really that fleshy and are your lips really looking like that in real life.

anyway its pretty darn sweet. the texture is great but I think it would look better uncompressed.

however I would have a hard time DLing it then so keep umm small bob.

Looks good Bob! Only crit right now is that the corners of the mouth need some work. Seems like this is a problem area on 90% of the heads I see--including mine. :)

How about posting a photograph for comparison?

Thanks guys,

I uploaded a picture of me for comparing (be kind
please :) )

The model still needs some tweaks. Most of all
the lips and the cheeks. And AdamT, I agree the
area around the mouth is very critical for me in
cases too.

JIII: I am a modem-user too so I will keep them small.

cheers, Bob
