View Full Version : Problems with render layers in maya

when i set up my render layers, in my color pass, my background renders for the first frame and after that it disapears, and this happens every time. what am i doing wrong?

can you clear you question?
What are you using to render your background
plane with map of imageplane on camera or its mesh stuffs

if its plane of imageplane make sure haven't cheked the box on use image sequence on your texture file attribute.
render layer are sensitive , hope you havent done layer override on unusual areas.
check it out.

yeah i should have prob specfied.

I have a poly plane, and a poly object. there are no textures on the plane, just a blinn with reflective properties on it. and like i said it renders for the first frame and then disappears.

so i guess its not my backgrounnd but the ground plane, sorry for the confusion

Dude i dont think u've done set key on visibility.
need figureout man
ahhh does it render on other passes i mean other render layers.
if it does then look transparency of material, if there is any key
sorry if it is too later for you to go back and check this out.
but i think thats the way you find out whats your real problem is.

im not sure, i dont think i have set any keys on transperancy, ill have to double check

hi sorry for being offling for so long. i dont think you are workin out on same thing. but any how you may have problem of turning off the primary visibility in render status on our object shape node.
