View Full Version : Controlling LOD on sweep/lofts etc...
Vossil 05-13-2008, 10:30 AM I get the feeling I am missing something really simple here. I am sweeping a kerb profile and cinema is giving me an astonishingly high level of curvature for all my edges, I am all for bevelled edges but 8 subdivisions seems a little excessive. So how can I control the level of detail on a sweep before I turn it into polygons?

You need to change the interpolation settings for the Contour spline. Depending upon the interpolation type, subdivision is reduced by either increasing the Angle or decreasing the Number value.

Thanks for the info, at first I thought that was a silly way to go about it but I guess it does let you refine/reduce for both the spline elements which makes good sense, as usual c4d is way more logical than I am.
