View Full Version : Zapplink 3 - Photoshop CS3 problem

Hi,

I come to you with a small problem that I cannot solve.
I've just installed Zapplink, but when I lounch it it goes to the external editor that is not Photoshop.
On my Pc I have installed Photoshop and ACDsee. Zapplink lounches the immage to ACDsee and no to Photoshop.
So, I have ACDsee as the default image viewer.
Can anyone help how can I set Zapplink to open images in Photoshop where I can edit them?

P.S. Where can I set in Photoshop that it is the default image viewer? Maybe this is the problem. Any help is much appreciated.

you have to set your .psd files to open with photoshop as default in your window, that's all ;)

Lol, thank you. I'm such a blockhead!

One more question. Now, eachtime I draw in Photoshop on the Zbrush exported picture the colors are very opacque. If I use the CLONE STAMP TOOL the colors can be barely seen.
If there is a link with the same problem I haven't seen please tell me.

I just copy pasted a face (nothing exact). This one is from photoshop!

The second one is the result in Zbrush. Is this normal that everyting is so 'light' the colors are so opacque, or Am I missing something? This is the first time I'm using Zappling.

Are you by chance merging the shading layer together with the color layer before you return to ZBrush? If so, the shadows are being baked into the color, which of course causes everything to darken.

No, I merge my edits with Layer 1 (the one where its not written (DO NOT EDIT) next to it).
I'm really starting to loose hope for this Zapplink...

Are you JUST using ZAppLink? Or are you first using Projection Master to drop the model, then using PM again after returning from ZAppLink?

A common mistake is to use PM. You should use one OR the other, but not both together. ZAppLink automatically handles the PM side of things, so you never need to touch that plugin.

Heh, no. I'm using just Zapplink. I don't touch the projection master app. Now I really don't know what to do.
