hi..:), sharing a collab. a 3D version of one of my own oil paintings, titled: In the Studio -2. painted on canvas.
its was a really interesting work to carry on. my friend at work, sajid saim did all the modeling and lighting and i myself handled the direction, design and texturing.
ofcourse its very hard to get the charm of an oil painting, but we somehow did achieve a fairly decent result, that we are quite content with. done in maya - mental ray.

wow.. mate... great result...!!!.. I saw your original canvas.. and.. wooooww...!! so good.. until now.. I never seen that 3D can stay up to 2D art.. but almost..!! I don't know so well.. but I believe that the 3D is always so clean.. and need the irregularities of natural look of 2D art..!! just look the natural environments.. or spot on streets, walls, trees, wood, etc.. you know my friend.. your work is so close to this a "9.8 of 10" for your 3D..!! but I prefer you 2D art a "10 of 10" for this.. :D..!!

oh and sorry mate, I know when one talk something, is good do the same work or better.. I can't do a better 3D work than you... but that is my opinion about that I see only..!!

thank u very much PeGGO...thats a lovely feedback and i totally agree with you...:). thanks for all the kind words my friend. ofcourse traditional art has its own charm, which is beautiful...:).

im so glad to see you here as well, in my 3d work thread, thanks again...:).
