how to make alpha texture map pic???

When saving the image, choose TGA file format, and tick all the 3 boxes. It will now have an alpha channel.

Make a selection, go to the Select menu and choose Save Selection. Then save the file as a TGA, choosing the last radio button when it asks how you want it saved.

You can see/edit your alpha by using the Channels palette.
