excellent bone structure work. She looks like flesh on a skull as opposed to just a sculpture (in other words you bring her to life) I can't tell if the likeness is perfect with her untextured and with evil dead eyes but it's a killer sculpture.

Hexodam: i will put some wires tomorrow. now i have to go in the club :) i need some party now i think :)
James Bonner: can you imagine Amidala with deadly evil eyes? :) nooo ... i'll make the sexyest, and lovelyest Amidala ever!! :p

when you'll finish with texturing I think I will fall in love with her!
Nice work!
i just luv that mesh. keep it simple and keep it clean... precisly by the book. nice.
I like it. It must have been fun to make the head piece and pendent :) If it isn't to much, could you provide a closer shot of the head (esp. that nice mouth area). This is all level 0 right?
In the spirit of critique the only thing I can come up with is that it structurally it doesn't look to much like natalie portman, but it hasn't been textured yet. Great modelling, nevertheless.
cheers

hi.
thanks again for the good replies, for the newcomers too! :)
ktpr: first i followed Natalie's face, then i changed the nose area. my ex-girlfriend had this type of nose. i liked it much :)
ah yeah. and here are some wires. i will post some from the mouth area!
now .. bye

nice!! looking really good.
The shoulder pads look huge for her..natalie portman i mean...unless your model isnt done after her.
Keep it up!

From the front view it really does look like natalie P, it's the right jaw shape and lips. Very subtle and impressive. I just did notice that the outside corners of her eyes might not go into enough of a point and/or the upper lid doesn't fold over the lower a tiny bit like in real life. I was just writing to Lordrych about the same thing, and about how I pulled the last few points on the outside of the lower lid under the upper lid to create a small hard crease. Otherwise, fantastic!

Hey dude!
It's cool  But you should update her nose where it connects to lips...

NeonGuy,
Incredible work, my friend. I'm totally inspired by your talent. I should be so lucky as to possess even half this level of skill. Can't wait to see more.:buttrock:

could you do a tutorial as to how u made her headpeice and her clothing...........prrrrrrrrrrrrr.......she's sooooo hot!!
NeonGuy

oracle: thanks for the pic, i'm in LOVE!! :)
snakeman: i'm a little time confused these days, so i can only tell you how i made the headpiece and the cloth.
the headpiece: i made a cylinder and deleted 3 quarters of it. then i made one quarter, and mirrored it 2 times. this is only for the outher part of it. the center part is a ruby or i don't know ... a gem ... i modeled it from a cylinder. cutted, extruded some faces, then bevel and then clean up the beveled faces :( you know ... maya's bevel tool is not the best :)
the clothing: i made it from a cylinder :) (yes, another one). then i made a lattice, deformed it, and then extruded the edges on the top and on the bottom a fex times. after this i cutted the mesh at the neck area and tweaked the parts that had to be tweaked.
the shader on the clothing has a displacement map on it that i painted in photoshop and the color is also based on this map.
after i satisfied with the result, i duplicated the bottom part of the clothing, smoothed it with a division of 2 or 3 or something like this. this new poly object was the base of the maya fur. modify the fur's options, and there you go. you have a clothing :)
ah yes ... and i often use poly proxy mode ... it's a big help in some cases.
hope this was enough help.

Idk if you're thinking of animating her or not, but I dislike some of your topology around the mouth(you have maybe one edgeloop around the lips)-other than that its a very nice and clean model, and artistically I think it is fantastic. Overall a good job
