View Full Version : Helpers: Tape
Maven 05-16-2003, 12:15 PM Is there a way to use the tape so that it is contrained to only the x, y and z? Like the "ortho" in AutoCAD? So when you click and drag it is allways straight or 90degrees.
Thanks

That's not a problem...
You have to put the start and endpoints in the same orthogonal plane. I think there are some options for the tape in its rollout in the modify panel.
Check it out.

But if the start and end points are not in the same orthogonal plane then what do you do to get a perfectly straight measurement.
Is there a script out there that can only be used in 90 degree angles?

Hey,
If you can't find a script, I'd be happy to write a quick plugin that will do the trick. Let me know.

That would be great if you could do that for me! or for all. I don't know about anyone else but I would find that extremly use full.
