hi guys,
I'm need to animate a flower blooming, and paint effects just wouldn't hold up because it's a very tight shot....I need the flower to animate similar to this:
http://www.timelapse.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/D0134_thumb.jpg (http://www.timelapse.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/D0134_thumb.swf)
I've modelled the petals in subdivision surfaces already unfurled, and I need to animate from bud to full bloom. I'm thinking nonlinear deformers (bend, twist), combined with joints...but I just don't know how to work back to the bud. Hope anyone who has experience animating and rigging something similar can give their opinion on how to start.
Thanks in advance.
