Hi there,thx for the update.
Just tried it ,and my floor and background are not rendering,my model does.
it's the standard floor and background that are in object-scene.
Put the old version back in and all is normal.
I did a cineview reset,but it didn't help.

@johnjohnson - There seems to be a problem related to the new Render Active Objects Only option. If you enable this option (in the Miscellaneous tab of the Optimizations dialog), render, then disable this option it should clear it up.
@MrBraun - Play with the Focus Position slider (in the Depth Adjustments group in the zBuffer tab). Also you might want to turn on the Compress Depth Range option.

This is on my list of ''Must Buy" plugins. Just as soon as a client project pays for it.

Hi Chris
seems that for me at least running my new copy of R11 on an Intel mac, reflections and transparency no longer work in Cineview. I have the exact same scene in 10.5 and this works fine. In R11 neither transparency or reflection gets updated. Is this a known problem and if so when can we expect the fix.
edit:
Sorry I fixed it. I had to check then uncheck the Active objects only button. For some reason although this was unchecked it appeared that it was actually only rendering active objects. I switched it off and on and all is good. Thing is this is the default setting when you reset the settings, i.e. the switch is off but it is actually only rendering active objects.
I also have found another weird thing that when you have GI and CineView set to render automatically it goes on an endless loop. The only way to stop is to turn off the auto check box.
Is this right?
All the best

I've seen the endless loop behavior with GI rendering in R11 as well.
This is on the PC side, XP Pro 64 bit.

Hi
I'm testing R11 and that's where it's happening. GI is totally different in R11 so you'd expect it I guess

The active object only bug should have been fixed with the R11 update. I'll take another look, maybe I missed something.
And as for the GI, here's what is happening. If the Irradiance Cache is set to Auto Save (on by default) it triggers a document change which Cineview interprets as a cause to refresh. I should be able to disable that Auto Save parameter for the Cineview render, so I'll check these things out and hopefully have an update ready soon.

Me too Dann. I think I just transferred the old plugins and re serialised them rather than getting new ones. I haven't received an update for a while

Yeah, emails went out not only for the update from this post (May 8), but also a couple of weeks ago when the R11 versions were ready. If anyone hasn't gotten these shoot me an email and I'll get you updated.
