Hello,

I have two computer monitors connected to an NVidia GEForce 8500 GT graphics engine.

The first is a Dell SE198WFP, the monitor that came with my computer.
The second is a Wacom Cintiq21UX.

My problem is, no matter how much I manually adjust the color settings / resolution / brightness / etc. it simply does not match my Dell monitor's color.

Whenever I use my Wacom Cintiq to digitally color my illustrations in Photoshop CS3, I take the finished product and move it to my Dell desktop with terrible color results for my illustration. Every time I apply color to a picture, I have to check it on my Dell monitor to make sure the color is to my liking. It is a huge pain.

Is there an easier way to setup my monitors so their color can match?

Also, I have heard about a product Pentone Huey Pro which automatically calibrates your computer monitor color to a more true spectrum. Can such a product help me with my problem? Is there anyone who has used the Huey on two monitors?

I hear varying reviews of the Huey, most complaining of an undesirable "pink" tint that overwelms the monitor after calibration. Is this product worth the money?

Thank you all for any help you can provide.

unless you buy 2 of the same exact monitor, they won't exactly match. i've seen monitors from the same company [different models] that wouldn't match.

but, you can get damn close.

there are websites (http://www.imaging-resource.com/ARTS/MONCAL/CALIBRATE.HTM) and even hardware (http://spyder.datacolor.com/) to help calibrate your monitors.

I will second colorvision spider, but if you want a better and pricier solution you should look for lacie Blue Eye Pro or even Monako Optix.
Have in mind that the cintiq uses a 6bit TN panel, which is not good for accurate colour reproduction, and has limited viewing angles.
Even your Dell is probably a TN one.
