I'm currently wanting to texture the head of a bald assassin I've modelled, and as such, I've been trying to get hold of some decent fron and side photo's of someone, prefably with a bald head and looking stern/sociopathic.

I've had little luck with any kind of quality free photo reference, and even what I've seen of the sites you have to pay for is somewhat lacking. Being a student int he last week of final year of university, I'm strapped for cash anyway, so I'm not really able to sign up to one of these 'pay annual' resource sites for the sake of one texture.

As such, i was wondering if any of you fellowing texturing folk have come across, or have available/links to some decent quality, well lined up, front and side photo's of a man: athlectic (no chin fat), little to no hair, looking somewhat angry kicking about.

(Might be cool to get a sticky of a facial/body texture reference library in here, as we already have a good 'free texture' sticky)
I would like to have a go at the excellent 'build your own skin' tutorial by cANT, but with a bundle of Mocap to fix, scenes to build and rendering to do, time is also against me.

Thanks in advance everyone,

Howi

Well 3d.sk is pretty much the only game in town. My membership lapsed earlier this year but they had recently switched to a new camera and the latest photos were much better quality. It's possible to make specific requests as well so if you can't find exactly what you want they may still be able to help.

Of course the other option is to borrow/hire a decent camera yourself and scour the streets of middlesborough or the uni campus looking for a willing victim, or shave a mates head (preferably concious) with some clippers et viola. Whilst the quality won't quite be as good as studio-shot, at least you get to choose your model.

I know you'd rather avoid paying for a site membership right now, but 3d.sk almost definitely has what you're looking for. It's not even particularly expensive, and you'll get a lot of use out of the site.
