View Full Version : need to open solid works files
krisr 05-08-2008, 04:25 AM So I'm receiving .sldasm and .sldprt files from a client. I imagine I need to either get Right Hemisphere's Deep Exploration CAD Edition or Polytrans with the required plugin package. Can anyone recommend one over the other for opening these files and spitting out obj files? I've used step files with Deep Exploration before which worked great but I've never opened these Solid Works files. I just want to know which is the best solution since neither app is cheap. Thanks.

You can go to the SolidWorks site and download their viewer eDrawings for free.
