hi everyone,
i'm supposed to be designing some symmetrical elements, and it would help alot if i was able to see the symmetry happen realtime as i draw on one half of the image.
is this possible in photoshop or painter (or any other painting application)?

thanks alot...

Not that I'm aware of. There are plug-ins that do similar things but as far as symetrical drawing - I'm not even sure where to look. Image synth does a good job of creating seamless textures and KINDA does a symmetrical "stamp"

ZBrush lets you draw on both halves of your model symetrically - but it is a 3d modeling program so if you are going for 2d I doubt that would help you.

There is a freeware program called "mirror draw" but I do not know how well it works.

Corel photopaint has had this feature for at least 6 years now. It is just a checkbox you click that sais symmetry.
