Ugh, that's really disgusting!... Most likely it's a pracical effect involving some simple greenscreen/ bluescreen and lighting tricks. You can always put some colored hood on the actor for later keying, and then simply have him act out the downslide or whatever... The internals could easily be cobbled together from photos or by manual painting. The edges of the glass door/ cutters are just some simple lines animated in the shot, it seems. The doors are way too perfectly clear to really have been there in the initial shot, if you get my meaning. After that it's once more some simple lighting tricks to create the illusion the glass is actually between the two slices of the body, when it's most certainly not... Really more a matter of planning the actual shot than any elaborate compositing.
