im working on my own head for some time now..had to get the topology just right..

it aint even near finished.. but i thought this would be postable.. its comming togehter now..

in a few days i will start with the hair.. but i dont know howto go about that part.. im using max 5.

shag hair aint an option for my hair style i tink.. but so ill have to do it with polygons.. pfff.. darn pain in the ass.. but ow well.. do you have some idear?.. and how to do the eyebros.. shaghair.. or just splines? .. wel splines aint texturable right..?or are they? else ill make vere little cylinders.. is that a good way ?

*ps* the inside of the year..is to sharp that bow.. that flows to the inside.. have to adjust that.. but have to go to bed now.. :wavey:

Also... Add to my comments in the other thread. Look carefully at the lower lips blend into the face on the outside 3/4 of both sides. It should flow more gently into the face.

I dont know it, because Im not a max person, but thats all I know that max has.

you should definitly aim for the shag hair solution .... I think it's the only way to achieve a realistic result like the one you want to have. or you can wait for Shave and Haircut for max (but since no release date as been set, i think you should rely on shag hair)

shag hair hhm.. i tryd it once.. but do you know a good tut.. or can you wexplain it.. caus for one thing i came uppon was that i could ad a material to the hair.. just colour:(:(

Hair idea:

Make some "slagroom toefjes" and texture it with lines. Just an idea!:thumbsup:

as you suggested..adjusted the mouth..let it flow into the face more.. in the corners..also adjusted the ears.. but those screens will come up soon

here some illumination skin tests.. now it aint.. the skin.but just how light bounces of it.. it aint good yet.. but heej..this is my workflow so :).. maybe you find it interesting..

Do you have a 3/4 images of yourself for reference? The cheakbone seems a bit undefined, or unrounded, depending on how much fat is or isnt there. I suspect the outer corner of the brows are too far forward as well

well .. i uvw mapped the head.. you see it in thin lines.. and done the eye balls today ..

maybe ill adjust the head at someparts still doubting..allready tweaked a lot.. ill put up a screen of the full edited head..tomorrow

you might want to raise the resolution of those maps! what are they at now?

the thickness of the lid is too thin, get a mirror for your desk and check that out for yourself

oops.. yep your right..put my eye way to much to the front..

and the hdri maps are high res.. but i put don the rgb level output.. caus else they are to shiny.just wanted a subtile realism look..but ill see thx!:D

well little update.. im busy with the difuse mapping ,still to dark.. havent done ears and forhead..but well..

ill work on it againt tomorow ;-)

judging from this pic and your reference photos, I think your nose needs to be a little more angular at the tip. You seem to have an indent when looking from the front.

thx.,..yes i have a dent there..splitting the bottom of my nose a little..thick ill ad that ..and edit my uvw a little..

and yoshua..thx for the shag tuts..the last one is on 3d total.. in the tut gall.. joan or arc tut:)

but ill have to make much more advanced hair..will be a pain in the ass.. but first..ill texture the head.. will carry on tonight..just got home from my weekend job at a rock cafe..pff 6:30 in the morning now.. have to sleep..so ill model,texture on tonight:D..

but if anyone has some advanced info on shag..plz post orm write some documentiary

litte update..skin collor and corrections.. little bump .. still have to do the lip bump.. and make a specular map.. and gonna throw in some hdri.. , have to do the tearducts etc.. well this is it for now..

at the end ill do the little model tweaks.. yep at the end.. it wont mess up the texture..theyr to little:D

well did some eye stuff today...and added another bump.... so i have 2 in ther now.. + specular.. now ill hdri the skin.. sometime this week.. still the eyes suck.. have to do something about that but what.. , and i made myself cry .. allmost.. you see in the render..caus i was so frustrated when mapping aarg!!.. think you all know that feeling (we all get that i supose ):wip: :shrug:

the cry line... make it thinner I think

and those eyelids (oogleden), can you tweak it more? Or it's because it's has no eye lashes, it's looking wierd.
